Set up Truplexy

Everything you need to put the assistant in front of your customers: a quickstart, the few ideas every guide relies on, and step-by-step setup for the channels you run yourself.

Quickstart

  1. Create your account and your business. Your first bot is ready to go.
  2. Add what the assistant should know under Knowledge base: upload files or write articles. Try it in Playground.
  3. Open Integrations → Add a channel. Discord, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Shopify, HubSpot, Zendesk, Slack & Microsoft Teams connect with one click: sign in to the platform and approve. See every channel →
  4. For the channels you run yourself, below, issue a chat key there and follow the channel’s guide: the steps on the platform, then a small piece of server code. Keep the key on your server.
  5. Escalated conversations land in Tickets. Reply there, or from Slack or Teams, and the customer gets it on their own channel.

Core concepts

TermWhat it means
Chat keyThe secret your server uses to talk to Truplexy, for channels you run yourself. It can be bound to one channel, and never goes in a browser, app or theme. Connected platforms need none. Issuing a key →
ChannelWhere a conversation came from: your website, WhatsApp, a custom platform. Each channel can be switched on or off on its own. Custom channels →
CustomerOne person, matched across channels by their contacts (email, phone number, platform ID), so their history follows them. Customer identity →
Ticket & handoffWhen a person should help, the conversation becomes a ticket in Tickets with everything said so far. Your team replies from there. Handoff and escalation →
WebhookA signed event sent to your server when your team replies or a ticket changes, so your integration can deliver it. Webhooks →
